Summary

90 day bills were at 6.39 %, the ten -year bond at 5.89%. This means the Australian curve is inverted. Has been since about October of 2004, though importantly, the curve inverted because the long bond dropped in yield, rather than the 90 day bill yield rising. This is likely to restrain the Reserve bank from increasing rates any time soon.
