Summary
The US curve is still hugely positively steeply sloped. It shows the Fed determination to promote recovery. Markets do not collapse whilst this is the case: one reason, it is so profitable for the banks to again ‘borrow short and lend long’, their normal state of affairs and an opportunity taken away from them during the recession.
